Identidad

On the occasion of the pandemic, an exhibition was organised at the La Nau cultural centre that reflects on the coronavirus crisis through the work of 50 Valencian creators. 50 texts by experts that become 50 graphic proposals.

The project:

Our graphics arise from a text by José Enrique de Ayala, of the Advisory Council of the Foreign Policy Observatory of the Fundación Alternativas. A text that talks about geopolitics after the pandemic, and that emphasizes that the problem of the world today is not the inevitable globalization but the lack of global institutions that govern effectively.

That is why the proposal was based on creating a country, an unreal state that would be capable of leading the new world order that emerged as a result of the pandemic. This new leader is born and shaped by the three axes that currently govern us in their own way: the United States, Europe and China. None of the three have been able to lead us and so we are heading for a multipolar world. As a symbol of this new 'country-state' we created a flag.

The exhibition was curated by Marisa Gallén and took place in the La Nau exhibition hall at the University of Valencia. For the exhibition, apart from the graphics, we proposed 3 videos that served to accompany it.
